RA President: armament drive and bellicose statements cannot promise good future for our children

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan said that Armenia has repeatedly called on Azerbaijan to use the two countries’ possibilities for the establishment of stability and development in the region.

“The armament drive and bellicose statements cannot promise a good future for our children,” Sargsyan said during a sitting on Security and Development in the South Caucasus - Armenia’s Role at Konrad Adenauer Foundation, Germany.

The President noted that he says this as a man, who has gone through an imposed war, enjoyed the glory of victory, but will never forget the sorrows caused by the war.

“Finally, as soon as economic integration processes are launched in the region, it will be easier to resolve the Karabakh conflict and secure safe and prosperous life for our peoples, in contrast to the current atmosphere of distrust and doubts,” he emphasized, the presidential press service reported.
