Ashot Avanesyan: Ukraine succeeded to avoid ethnic conflicts![]() September 17, 2010 - 10:42 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - President of the National Congress of Armenians of Ukraine Ashot Avanesyan met September 16 with OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities Knut Vollebaek, who is on a working visit in Ukraine to discuss problems of national minorities in the country. “Ukraine is one of those countries which succeeded to avoid ethnic conflicts,” Avanesyan said. “The new bill on the concept of state ethno-national policy of Ukraine has been already developed and it maximally meets the interest of all national minorities.” ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
