Armenian Embassy to Russia organizes reception to celebrate Independence DayPanARMENIAN.Net - Russian officials, diplomats and representatives of international institutions attended a reception organized by the RA Embassy to Russia on occasion of Armenian Independence Day. In his congratulatory address, Armenian Ambassador to Russia Oleg Yesayan emphasized that the referendum on September 21, 1991 was crucial for the entire Armenian nation. “Now, maintenance of peace in the region is a vital task. Armenia takes consistent steps for resolution of the Karabakh conflict and highly appreciates the endeavors of the OSCE Minsk Group to that end,” he said. Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
