Dessislava Roussanova: conflicts can’t be resolved by use of force

PanARMENIAN.Net - Hostilities can alter the balance of forces but can’t help resolve the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, International Alert Eurasia Program Director Dessislava Roussanova said.

“There is no guarantee that the use of force will produce a desirable result,” she said. “Peace process is not efficient and patience has limits but expectations can’t be real when they base on ‘winner and loser’ concept.”

Roussanova also emphasized that it will be hard to settle the Karabakh conflict as long as the sides eye the territory as a resource or article of commerce.
