Bako Sahakyan: NKR recognition by international community on agenda

PanARMENIAN.Net - Arstakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan stated that recognition of NKR by the international community is on the agenda.

“Joining Armenia is not discussed,” Segodnya.ua quoted him as saying. “It’s not a conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan. The conflict burst out between Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan, while the latter managed to involve Armenia in it. Yerevan doesn’t recognize NKR independence, unwilling to hamper the peace process.”

Sahakyan reminded that he suggested the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs to organize a meeting with the Azerbaijani President.

“However, the mediators are unable to realize the initiative due to Baku’s unconstructive approach,” he said, adding that numerous proposals to withdraw snipers were also rejected by Azerbaijan.
