Speaker of People's Assembly of Syria to visit Armenia![]() PanARMENIAN.Net - Speaker of the People's Assembly of Syria, Mahmoud al-Abrash has accepted Armenian National Assembly Chairman Hovik Abrahamyan’s invitation to visit Armenia. After a meeting between two speakers behind closed doors which focused on intensification of interparliamentary cooperation and collaboration within international organization as well as development of economic ties, the Armenian and Syrian parliamentarians referred to regional issues, including Armenian-Turkish normalization and Karabakh conflict settlement. Mahmoud al-Abrash and Hovik Abrahamyan signed a memorandum of understanding to cement friendly relations between Armenia and Syria, RA NA press office reported. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
