CIS military cooperation project signed in MoscowPanARMENIAN.Net - The heads of CIS armed forces staff signed a package of agreements aimed at development of military cooperation in CIS framework. “CIS leaders will adopt a 2010-2015 military cooperation concept for CIS countries at the forthcoming summit,” Chief of the Russian General Staff, Army Gen. Nikolai Makarov stated at the meeting in Moscow, RIA Novosti reported. Armenian delegation led by the head of Armenia’s Armed Forces General Staff, Colonel General Yuri Khachaturov also participating in a meeting of the heads of CIS armed forces staff organized by CIS Council of Defense Ministers Secretariat. Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. Authorities said a total of 192 Azerbaijani troops were killed and 511 were wounded during Azerbaijan’s offensive. Partner news |
