Polling stations opened at 08:00am local time, BELTA reported. The Central Electoral Committee of Belarus reported that 23.1% of voters participated in early voting. 10 candidates participate in the elections, including incumbent President Alexander Lukashenko who runs for the fourth term. The poll will last until 08:00pm. Over 50% of registered voters should cast their ballots to recognize the elections as valid.
