G8 summit opens in Deauville

PanARMENIAN.Net - World leaders meet on May 26 in Deauville for a G8 summit.

After the last G8 in Canada, France predicted the Internet revolution would dominate the summit, but real revolutions in the Middle East and North Africa and Japan's Fukushima disaster have forced their way onto the agenda.

Group Eight state leaders summit will take place at the French seaside town of Deauville (Calvados department). Lasting two days it will end on Friday, May 27.

Another French city Mediterranean Cannes (well known due to famous International Film Festival) has been chosen to host the 6th annual G20 Summit. On the provisional date of the of November 3-4, Cannes’ Palais de Festival will welcome the heads of government from 19 different countries for their discussions of financial markets and the world’s economy.
