Baku: OSCE MG Co-Chairs deal only with technical issues

PanARMENIAN.Net - "OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs deal only with technical issues in the direction of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict solution, they cannot influence on presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia and the foreign ministers of conflicting sides," political scientist Rasim Musabekov stated at a conference entitled "Karabakh yesterday, today and tomorrow".

He said it is naïve to expect any results from the next visit of Co-Chairs to the region. "In the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict the Azeri authorities and society will not make any concessions, which contradict the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. According to the poll results carried out among the population of the country, more than 75 percent of the Azeri nation does not agree to make concessions in the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement," Musabekov underlined.

The political scientist thinks in order to change the situation in his favor, Azerbaijan must display his economic and military power, which undoubtedly will have positive impact on the results of negotiations, Trend reports.
