Azerbaijan going to build nuclear reactor

PanARMENIAN.Net - Building of a nuclear reactor in Azerbaijan will have positive impact on the country's strategic image, said Adil Gharibov, director of the institute of radiation studies at the Azeri academy of sciences.



The government has already given consent to the project, according to him.



"If the issue is confirmed at the 51st IAEA session due September 17-21 in Vienna, the construction will be launched in 2009," he said, Novosti Azerbaijan reports.
