RA parliament prolongs terms of peacekeeping mission in Iraq

PanARMENIAN.Net - With a vote 79 to 10 and 11 abstentions, the Armenian parliament has approved President Robert Kocharian's proposal to extend the terms of the Armenian peacekeeping mission in Iraq.



According to RA Defense Minister Mikael Harutyunyan, the extension is conditioned by decision to continue humanitarian mission in Iraq.



Armenians peacekeepers in Iraq have been serving within the Polish division since January 25, 2005, IA Regnum reports.
