Russia to participate in new ANPP construction tender

PanARMENIAN.Net - Russia will participate in the tender on new Armenian nuclear power plant construction expected in 2010-2011, Russian nuclear chief Sergei Kiriyenko said.



"Armenia plans to build a nuclear power plant with 1 thousand megawatt capacity. The project will cost $1 billion. It is supposed to build two nuclear reactors or one reactor with big capacity. At that, the Metsamor NPP under trust management of Russian Inter RAO UES and Rosenergatom will function till 2016," he said, IA Regnum reports.
