RA FM called on UNESCO to condemn cultural terror against Armenian monuments

PanARMENIAN.Net - Edward Nalbandian met in Paris with UNESCO Secretary General Koichiro Matsuura to consider activity in educational, cultural, information and telecommunication fields in compliance with the national cooperation planning document between Armenia and UNESCO for 2008-2009.



The Armenian Minister once again called on UNESCO to attend to the Armenian monuments beyond Armenia and condemn terrorism against Armenian cultural heritage. He also voiced deepest concerns about demolition of Armenian khachkars in Nakhijevan, the RA MFA press office reported.
