He also met with Hugh Hallman, the Mayor of Tempe, who said that September 21 was proclaimed the Day of Independence of Armenia. Addressing the students of Arizona University, the Consul presented priorities of Armenia's foreign policy. The possibility to establish direct trade relations between Armenia and Arizona was discussed during a meeting with members of the Armenian-American chamber of commerce.
