Armenian, Dutch grandmasters play in draw

PanARMENIAN.Net - On January 25, Armenian grandmaster Levon Aronian completed the 8th round of Corus Chess 2009, playing in a draw with Netherlands' Loek van Wely.



Sergei Movsesian (Slovakia) fixed the same result in a game with another Dutch chess player Jan Smeets.



In the 9th round, Aronian will meet with Gata Kamsky (U.S.), Movsesian will play vs. Karyakin (Ukraine).



The Group A completed the 8th round with the following results: Sergei Movsesian - 5 points; Sergei Karyakin, Teymour Radjabov, Levon Aronian, Leinier Dominguez - 4.5 points; Gata Kamsky, Magnus Carlsen, Michael Adams, Jaan Smeets, Loek van Wely - 4 points; Daniel Stellwagen, Yue Wang, Vassily Ivanchuk - 3.5 points; Alexander Morozevich - 2.5 points.
