Armenian sambo wrestlers to participate in World Cup in Minsk

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian sambo wrestlers will participate in the World Cup due in Minsk, Belarus, Feb. 15-18.



Ashot Danielyan (weight class: 74kg.) and Vachik Vardanyan (weight class: 68kg.) will represent Armenia in World Cup, Sambo Federation President Levon Hayrapetyan told PanARMENIAN.Net



"We'll be training for oncoming Europe Championships. The first one, Sambo Juniors and Youth, is due on April 9-13 in Siauliai, Lithuania.Тhe second one, Men's and Women's Championship will be held on May 14-18 in Milan, with Sport and Combat Sambo competitions for male fighters, and Sport Sambo competitions for women. The fighters to represent Armenia at the oncoming championships will be selected after Sambo Championship to be held in Armenia in spring 2009", Levon Hayrapetyan said.
