Ankara seeks ways to normalize relations with Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Russia, as the Co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, has the key role in resolution of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, Turkish President said.

"Turkey hails the trilateral meeting that took place in Moscow in December 2008 that resulted in signing of a declaration on peaceful resolution of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict," Abdullah Gul said in Moscow.

"Turkey seeks ways to normalize relations with neighboring Armenia. The World Cup qualifier offered us a wonderful opportunity. I am happy that the dialogue we opened in Yerevan is going on," he said.

He also remarked that Armenia-Turkey reconciliation will also facilitate normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Vesti reports.
