Ruben Nazaretyan: our only goal is to break through to European Championship 2010 finals

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenian national futsal team is departing for Varna, Bulgaria, on February 16 to compete in European Championship 2010 qualifiers after a 3:0 victory over Europa team in a control game.

In a conversation with a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, coach Ruben Nazaretyan said his team is ready for the games in Varna.

"Our goal is to break through to the European Championship 2010 finals due in Hungary. Unfortunately, we have failed to find records to familiarize ourselves with the style our rivals are playing. But we are optimistic," he said.

Armenia will play against hosting Bulgaria on February 19. Estonia and Latvia are also included in the same group.

The qualifiers are played according to the following scheme: 16 teams play in the initial elimination competitions. Four winners in groups and two best teams from those coming second will join 22 teams in the basic qualifiers. Seven winners in groups and four best among those in second position will join the hosting team in Hungary in the finals.
