Armenia, Syria agree to simplify visa system for diplomatsFebruary 27, 2009 - 11:09 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbanidan met Thursday with his Syrian counterpart Walid al-Moallem to discuss bilateral relations, cooperation within international structures and possibilities to strengthen stability in the South Caucasus and Middle East. The Ministers also agreed to simplify visa system for diplomats and provide Armenian Embassy with new premises in the Syrian capital. During the visit, Minister Nalbandian also met with representatives of Armenian organizations in Damascus and with the head of the AAC Syrian Diocese, the RA MFA press office reported. Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. Authorities said a total of 192 Azerbaijani troops were killed and 511 were wounded during Azerbaijan’s offensive. Partner news |
