Kiev is unwilling to stay aside from changes in South Caucasus

PanARMENIAN.Net - Andrey Areshev: Ukrainian MFA statement on Armenian-Turkish route map is related to official Kiev's attempts to strengthen its presence in post soviet countries policy, said Strategic Culture Fund representative Andrey Areshev.

He believes that the statement demonstrates Kiev's unwillingness to stay aside of changes in South Caucasus or Kiev's awareness of recent events in the region.

Still, the statement won't have any practical effect, considering Ukraine's complicated relations with Turkey and biased position towards Armenia, Analitika.at.ua cited Areshev as saying.
