Yerevan to host mass events dedicated to International Olympic DayJune 18, 2009 - 18:51 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - International Olympic Committee President Jaque Rogue has congratulated all national Olympic committees on International Olympic Day. In his congratulatory message to Armenia, he expressed hope that such addresses would become traditional.Events to be organized for all people above age 13 will bear the slogan "Move, Study, Discover". Competitions will be held under the aegis of IOC and RA NOC (Chairman: Gagik Tsaroukyan). They will take place in all regions of Armenia and NKR and involve the following sports forms: kayak-paddling, fencing, judo, box, wrestling, skiing and cycle racing. On June 20, Yerevan will host an Olympic marathon with the participation of people belonging to 6 age classes. Winners will be awarded diplomas and memory prizes. Participants will receive T-shirts.
