NKR conducts active fight against corruption

PanARMENIAN.Net - On June 19, NKR President Bako Sahkayan participated in a conference devoted to "Civil Society and Fight against Corruption", NKR President's press service reports.

Stressing the importance of such forums, Mr. Sahakyan noted in his speech that corruption in the country bore sporadic nature; it had limited scope and manifestations.

State-society dialogue, according to NKR President, should be based upon trust. "Trust is an extremely important political resource for any state and authority. Without trust, it is impossible to build dialogue between state and society and establish ties with foreign countries," he said.

In that connection, Mr. Sahakyan added that the country's anti-corruption policy had positively affected the activity of judicial and law enforcement systems; essential changes were also observed in social and educational and healthcare spheres.

As noted by NKR President, interested state bodies elaborate interstate cooperation strategies concerning the sphere. "I am sure that due to our joint efforts and goal-oriented work, we'll manage to achieve tangible results," he said.
