Armenian volleyball players left for Hungary to international tournament

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian junior girls volleyball team under guidance of Razmik Sultanyan and head coach Aghvan Hakobyan on August 18 left for Hungary to take part in the international tournament (under 17 years) by August 26.



As Khachatur Asmaryan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, the president of the Armenian Valleyball Federation, Armenian volleyball players have not participated in European tournaments since 1992.



«The last time we participated in a European tournament in 1992. We sent 12 athletes to Hungary, 6 out of them from Sisian, and 3 volleyball players are from Nagorno Karabakh and Artik. Usually at such tournaments players are followed by European clubs' agents , I hope they will noticed two our promising athletes from Sisian," Mr. Asmaryan said.



"Our athletes went to Hungary thanks to a sponsorship, the inviting party assumed costs for meals and accommodation," he said.



Armenian delegation will return to Yerevan on 28 August.
