Armenian boxer reach Europe Youth Championship finals

PanARMENIAN.Net - The only Armenian boxer remaining on the European arena Karen Ayvazyan defeated Stepan Ivanov of Bulgaria at the semifinals of the European Youth Boxing Championship, held in the Polish city of Szczecin (7:0). Karen Ayvazyan will fight with Grigory Nikolaychuk from Russia at the finals. The latter defeated the representative of Azerbaijan Elhur Zeynalov ( 7:5) in the semifinals.



Only Karen Ayvazyan (w /c 51 kg) from the Armenian national team was able to reach the finals. On the way to Olympus fame Karen Ayvazyan defeated Italy, Moldova and Bulgaria. Notably, the Armenian boxer in all three games had lost only one point (in the battle with the Italians) scoring 16 points.
