Public of Armenia and Azerbaijan not ready to compromise on Karabakh

PanARMENIAN.Net - Publics of Armenia and Azerbaijan are not ready to compromise resolution of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, Vahan Dilanyan, head of the Research Center for Political developments told journalists in Yerevan.

"At a time when the public is not ready to compromise, displaying a political will by the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan is very important. The leaders of both countries have two options: abandon the adoption of the Madrid document, or take steps to establish the atmosphere of trust in Armenia and Azerbaijan," the expert said.

He mentioned that the expected visit of the OSCE Minsk Group to the region in fall to submit the updated Madrid principles to the conflict parties does not specifically affect the public opinion in Armenia and Azerbaijan.
