Zaruhi Postanjyan: PACE removes from agenda all issues related to Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe removed from the agenda all issues related to Armenia, Zaruhi Postanjyan , MPs of Heritage faction told press conference in Yerevan today.



According to her, PACE adopted such a decision since the deadline for signing the Armenian-Turkish agreement has approached. "PACE decided to leave in peace the Armenian authorities and give them the opportunity to sign the protocols," deputy of the Heritage faction said.



Zaruhi Postanjyan informed, that being not a member of the PACE Monitoring Committee, she has been twice invited to the meeting of the monitoring committee. "This year, when I again had to take part in this meeting, I received a letter in which I was informed that there would be no need in my participation, since as an opposition party the ARF Dashnaktsutyun is involved", Zaruhi Postanjyan informed.



According to her, at this meeting, the monitoring committee of PACE did not discuss any issue related to Armenia. Commission on Human Rights adopted the draft resolution and the report relating to the rights of national minorities in Turkey, addressing the rights of the Armenian population as well. "This project was included in the agenda of the meeting, but it was also withdrawn," the deputy of the Heritage faction Zaruhi Postanjyan said.
