Sochi's Armenian Community Head refuses to meet RA President

PanARMENIAN.Net - Sochi's Armenian Community Head Akop Kochkonyan refused to participate in a meeting with RA President due on October 7 in Rostov-on-Don.



Akop Kochkonyan refusal is explained by his protest against the planned conclusion of RA-Turkish protocols, Yerkramas Russian Armenians' newspaper reported.



According to Hamshen Armenians, expatriates of historic Armenian region of Hamshen, protocols' stipulation on recognition of border between RA and Turkey spells frustration of their hopes to ever recover their historic homeland.



Over 200 000 Hamshen Armenians currently reside in Krasnodar Territory.
