Armenian Chess team starts with victory over the Danes in Team Championship

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian National Chess team has a good start at the 17th Team Championship in the Serbian town of Novi Sad. Armenian chess players in 1st round, defeated the Danish team with a score of 3:1.



Grandmasters Vladimir Akopian and Gabriel Sargsyan first have completed their parties. Both GM shared points with their rivals Lars Bo Hansen and Sune Berg Hansen. A victory of the Armenian national team brought Arman Pashikyan and Tigran Petrosyan, taking precedence over Lars Schandorff and Glud Jakob Vang, respectively.



After the first round of the Armenian national team along with other 16 participating teams scored 2 points, but by its individual results shares 7-8 places of the tournament table.



Only teams of Hungary and the Netherlands showed absolute results, their all four chess players defeated their rivals.



In the second round the Armenian chess players will compete with the Romanian national team, which is ranked 14th in the rating of member teams.
