Turkey cancels agreement on purchase of Israel's Heron drones

PanARMENIAN.Net - Turkey has cancelled an agreement on purchase of 10 Israel's Heron drones, Turkish media reported quoting a source in the government.



The decision to annul the $200 million deal was taken by the government on Friday. The agreement to purchase Herons from Israel Aerospace Industries and Elbit was signed several years ago. Israeli media reported lately that Turkey was considering scrapping it when Israel failed to meet production deadlines.

In 2023, the Azerbaijani government will increase the country’s defense budget by more than 1.1 billion manats ($650 million).
The bill, published on Monday, is designed to "eliminate the shortcomings of an unreasonably broad interpretation of the key concept of "compatriot".
