Russia hails Armenian-Turkish rapprochement

PanARMENIAN.Net - Normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations may help resolution of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, according to Russia's Ambassador to Turkey Vladimir Ivanovsky.

"We must seek ways to settle the conflict," he said.

"However, it would be wrong to say that ratification of Armenia-Turkey protocols is impossible with the Karabakh conflict unsettled. Russia welcomes Armenian-Turkish rapprochement, since development of economic relations in the regions is extremely important," Amb. Ivanovsky said, Aksam Turkish newspaper reported.
