Armenian gymnasts brought 3 medals from Voronin tournament

PanARMENIAN.Net - On December 15-19, Moscow hosted the international tournament named after Olympic Champion Mikhail Vornonin. Armenian gymnasts Vahag Stepanyan, David Atanesyan, vahan Vardanyan and Arthur Davtyan left for the Russian capital to participate in competitions¸ Head of Armenian Gymnastics Federation Elfik Hovhannisyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.



Vahan Vardanyan and Arthur Davtyan earned the 4 and 11th places on tournament table. Vardanyan won a silver medal in the final round of floor exercises and a gold medal in horse racing exercises. Arthur Davtyan won a silver medal for jump exercise.



In the list of 22 countries, Armenians ranked as the fourth team. Topping the tournament table was Japan, followed by Russia. Thus, 2 of 4 Armenian sportsmen returned with medals.
