Bryza doesn't believe Azeri MFA enquiry reflects leadership positionMarch 27, 2008 - 17:22 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - I do not believe that the enquiry of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry sent to the OSCE Secretary on dissolution of the Minsk Group reflects position of the Azeri top leadership, said Matthew Bryza, the U.S. Co-chair of the OSCE MG. "We want to accomplish the basic principles of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict resolution, what will enable establishment of friendly relations between the two states, peace and glory," he said, Azeri Press Agency reports. Earlier, Azeri Deputy Foreign Minister Araz Azimov said that Azerbaijan has sent an inquiry to the OSCE Secretariat for recall or replacement of the Co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group dealing with the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement. Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. Authorities said a total of 192 Azerbaijani troops were killed and 511 were wounded during Azerbaijan’s offensive. Partner news |
