Pre-election campaign of Ilham Aliyev is based on “Shahids”

Are Azeri people ready to pay with the death of about 10 thousand soldiers for the sake of Ilham Aliyev holding office?

November 7 is the day of parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan and the neighboring republic is already getting ready. However, it is preparing in a peculiar way: by encouraging “nomad raids” on the positions of the NKR Defense Army with the aim of taking captive Armenian soldiers. Then the worked-out pattern follows: the Armenian captive will talk about the “bed of down” life in Azerbaijan, led by Ilham Aliyev and the party “Yeni Azerbaijan”.

PanARMENIAN.Net - For the sake of this PR-campaign the Aliyev clan is ready for any sacrifice. Moreover, in Azerbaijan soldiers are just food for powder. In a word, quite like the surviving nomads, but armed much better than their ancestors. The sabotage will continue until November 7, and then, as always, there will be a lull. The most important thing for Ilham Aliyev to do now is to hold power for another term. A scarecrow in the form of “enemy-Armenian” has always worked perfectly. Moreover, if Turkey is got involved too, so much the better. Recep Tayyip Erdogan has nearly the same problems as Aliyev: he, too, needs to stay in office. Accordingly, PR methods are nearly identical: Armenians are enemies and they must be treated “as they deserve”. Azerbaijan is sending in commandos,

Turkey refuses to set up a cross on the Holy Cross church on Akhtamar. We must acknowledge, however, that the Turkish policy is more flexible and in the opinion of the Turks, is more practical than the rectilinear policy of Aliyev, for which no one would praise him. Though, criticism is not yet heard either. All the statements regarding the incident are so vague and unclear that it seems political correctness and tolerance of the international community have already become a kind of visiting card. The strangest thing about this is that these statements are highly selective, but in light of recent curtseys of the West towards Islam, including the proposal to build a mosque on Ground Zero, they are considered normal. Apparently, the Islamic religion has seriously scared the Europeans and Americans... But, as the saying goes, it’s their chicken who to fear from and who to beat. Simply, impunity always turns into permissiveness, the proof of which is the behavior of Turkey and Azerbaijan towards Armenia and the Armenian people. And if for a moment we imagine what the Armenian side had broken the ceasefire in the conflict zone, wrath of the entire world community would then fall on Armenia, as it is always the case with Israel.

As for the actual losses of the Azerbaijani army, no matter how hard the Azeri agitprop tries, the number of soldiers killed as a result of Aliyev’s adventurist policy will not diminish. But are the Azeri people ready to pay with the death of about 10 thousand soldiers for the sake of Ilham Aliyev staying in office? Probably they are, because regardless of the colossal wealth of the Aliyev family, majority of the Azeri population is far below the poverty line, and no matter how enthusiastically the Azerbaijani media writes “about the horrible poverty and the devastation of Yerevan”, the situation is actually quite the contrary.

The devastating flooding of the Kur-Araks lowlands resulted in the stampede of the population. And if we add to this also the looted aid, the average Azeri had better be killed on the border, than die of hunger. This is the reality, and the status of a “shahid”, so erroneously interpreted in Baku, only aggravates the situation.

Well, let us also give a quotation. The portal 1News.az, feeling a rare “love” for the Armenians and Shahids, did not find anything better than to publish an article on Mubariz Ibragimov, whose body Baku officials have not yet bothered to pick up from the Armenian territory. But about a month has passed! The creation is called “Live Journal of a Fighter for Justice”, or “10 days from the Life of Mubariz Ibragimov”. Contributors are Rising Force (Azerbaijan) and Julian Lugo (Bolivia). Comments seem to be superfluous, nevertheless we’ll quote a howler: “Mubariz Ibragimov crossed the front line and caused damage to enemy forces, equal to which, perhaps, it’s hard to find in the history of the Karabakh war. During the clashes Mubariz Ibragimov killed around 50 Armenian soldiers”...
