Gerasim Alaverdyan predicts rich potato harvest in fall

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Agriculture Minister Gerasim Alaverdyan predicted a rich potato harvest in fall.

“The harvest is late due to unfavorable weather conditions and the essential amount was imported from neighbor countries,” he told reporters on August 30.

“This year, potato was planted in 28 500 hectares to yield 500 thousand tons in fall, what will lead to a downturn in prices,” the Minister said.
