Armenia to join Assembly of European Regions

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Territorial Administration Armen Gevorgyan left for Istanbul on a two-day working visit to participate in the annual meeting of the Assembly of European Regions (AER).

Armenia is expected to join the AER during the meeting.

Besides, bilateral meetings of Armen Gevorgyan are scheduled, the press service of the RA Ministry of Territorial Administration reported.

The Deputy Prime Minister will visit the Armenian community of Istanbul, Constantinople Patriarchate of the Armenian Apostolic Church and Surb Prkich Armenian hospital of Istanbul.

The Assembly of European Regions (AER) is the largest independent network of regions in wider Europe. Bringing together more than 270 regions from 33 countries and 16 interregional organizations, AER is the political voice of its members and a forum for interregional co-operation.
