ARMENIANS OF GEORGIAN BORDER VILLAGES CONCERNED OVER TURKISH CITIZENS UNIMPEDED PASSAGE TO AKHALKALAKI REGION

As reported by A-Info agency, Kartsakh village of Akhalkalaki region is the most vulnerable from this point of view, as it is next to the border. According to the source, within the past several months, when the Turkish party started electricity supplies to the Georgian frontier post, the passage of Turkish citizens to the territory of the Akhalkalaki region was "legalized" in exchange. The presence of Turks in the Kartsakh has become a usual phenomenon now. At that most of them bear arms and it makes unarmed residents of Kartsakh fear. "The Georgian authorities, who are the guarantee of their citizens' security, should take care of the situation at the border. If state frontiers are vulnerable, it does not make sense to engage in domestic affairs," Kartsakh village residents say.
