ARMENIANS CREATED REGIONAL UNION IN NORTH OF RUSSIA

PanARMENIAN.Net - The inauguration of a regional branch of the Union of Armenians of Russia has been held in Arkhangelsk Russian city. As reported by Dvina-Inform agency, the idea of unification of Armenians living in Arkhangelsk had appeared already last year. In January the regional branch was officially registered by the justice bodies. The immediate tasks of the Armenian Diaspora include the opening of a Sunday school, where Armenian children will study Armenian history and their mother tongue. In prospects, an Armenian church will appear in Arkhangelsk. According to the source, some one thousand Armenians live in the capital of Pomorye today.
