Armenian parliament speaker invited to Kuwait

PanARMENIAN.Net - National Assembly speaker Hovik Abrahamyan met with ambassador of Kuwait to Armenia Basam Muhammed al- Kabandin.

Mr. Abrahamyan noted that Armenia attaches great importance to development of ties with Arab states of the Persian Gulf, particularly cooperation with Kuwait in different fields, intensification of inter-parliamentary relations and cooperation in international institutions.

Speaker said that Armenia-Kuwait friendship group has already been formed in Armenia’s parliament.

The envoy, in turn, conveyed Kuwaiti parliament speaker’s greetings and invitation to visit his country on an official visit, which will foster development of bilateral ties and activation of inter-parliamentary relations.

Basam Muhammed al- Kabandin further stressed that Kuwait attaches great importance to cooperation with Armenia in different fields, noting his readiness to contribute to strengthening of ties between the two countries.
