June 21 celebrates official holiday of skateboarding

PanARMENIAN.Net - Every year, June 21, skateboarders around the globe celebrate "Go Skateboarding Day" – the official holiday of skateboarding – with sessions, barbecues, contests, demos, fundraisers and even protests, gathering in their favorite street spots, skateparks and local skate shops.

Founded by the International Association of Skateboard Companies (IASC), Go Skateboarding Day is a cooperative of decentralized events that take place around the globe. Skateboard retailers, manufacturers, skateparks, distributors, organizations and individuals of all colors, creeds, and attitudes hold skateboarding events to celebrate the holiday, Examiner.com reported.
