IRAN READY TO COMPREHENSIVE SUPPORT TO KARABAKH SETTLEMENT, IRI PRESIDENT SAIDJanuary 25, 2005 - 22:30 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Iran is ready to a comprehensive support to Azerbaijan and Armenia in the Nagorno Karabakh settlement, Iranian President Mohammad Khatami stated at yesterday's meeting with Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev, who had arrived in Teheran on a formal visit. "We come for the soonest settlement of the Karabakh conflict, however we are sure that the problem cannot be solved by force," the Iranian President emphasized. He also assured that Iran supports Azerbaijan's posture in the Karabakh conflict. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
