GERMAN AMBASSADOR TO ARMENIA: "EU AND US AIM AT ASSISTING SOUTH CAUCASIAN COUNTRIES ON WAY TO SUSTAINABLE AND PROSPERING DEMOCRACY"

PanARMENIAN.Net - "The EU and US goals in the South Caucasus have the same direction, i.e. to assist Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia on their way to sustainable and prospering democracy. The European Neighborhood policy is an important tool to that end," German Ambassador to Armenia Dr. Heike Renate Peitsch stated, Regnum news agency reported. In the Ambassador's words, the process of Armenia's integration in the European structures is under way, and the inclusion of Armenia in the Wider Europe: New Neighbors EU program is one of the important steps on the way of Euro-integration. "In the near future, after the European Commission making public the so-called report on the South Caucasian countries, we expect that Armenia, being guided by recommendations of the document, will start talks on the plan of actions with the European Commission," she noted.
