German Bundestag Vice-President commemorates Genocide victims

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Vice-President of the German Bundestag Wolfgang Thierse visited Tsitsernakaberd Genocide memorial Sunday, September 30, accompanied by his Armenian counterpart Eduard Sharmazanov, National Assembly press service reported.The German official left a note in the memory book, expressing condemnation for the Genocide and stressing adherence to peace and human rights.

“In 2005, Bundestag condemned the Armenian Genocide and expressed its view on the crimes against humanity. We believe the international community must give an adequate assessment of similar tragedies,” Mr. Thierse stressed.
