France to continue efforts for peaceful settlement of Karabakh conflict

PanARMENIAN.Net - French Foreign Ministry responded to the written inquiry by Valerie Boyer where the parliamentarian requested to learn the Ministry’s stance on release of Azeri axe-killer Ramil Safarov.

According to the response published in the Ministry’s official newspaper, “the ministry’s position has already been expressed.”

“Given current tensions between Armenia and Azerbaijan, it’s essential not to interrupt Karabakh settlement negotiations,” the Ministry said.

“As an OSCE Minsk Group co-chair, France aims to continue efforts to promote peaceful settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict in full compliance with its mediator liabilities,” the Ministry said.
