Armenian Vice PM meets outgoing UN Resident Coordinator

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Territorial Administration Armen Gevorgyan met October 24 with the outgoing UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative Dafina Gercheva.

Deputy Minister Gevorgyan deemed the cooperation with the UN Office in Armenia as effective, hailing Ms. Gercheva’s personal efforts.

He highly assessed implementation of the UNDP-funded projects in Armenia’s rural communities, voicing hope for their continuation.

The UN representative, in turn, hailed the cooperation with RA Ministry of Territorial Administration and communities, noting that the UNDP programs, implemented in partnership with government and NGOs, focused on community development, the press service of RA Ministry of Territorial Administration reported.
