TURKEY CRITICIZED POLISH SEJM FOR RECOGNIZING ARMENIAN GENOCIDE

PanARMENIAN.Net - Turkey subjected the Polish Sejm to sharp criticism for the adoption of the resolution on the Armenian Genocide. As spiritual shepherd of Armenians of Poland, Archimandrite Tadeus Isahakian-Zalezski told PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, the message of Turkish Foreign Minister Adbullah Gul says that Turkey was perplexed to learn of the decision by the Polish parliamentarians, since "such initiatives can stir up animosity between the nations". When commenting on Abdullah Gul's statement Polish deputy Kazimir Jazdowski said that he is surprised at such a reaction, since the purpose of the Sejm was to pay tribute to the Genocide victims. The EU also calls Turkey to acknowledge the Armenian Genocide and normalize relations with Armenia, what is a constituent of Eurointegration, Jazdowski added.
