Plastic surgery price hike reported in Armenia, paper says

PanARMENIAN.Net - According to Zhoghovurd daily, a hike in plastic surgery prices was reported in some medical institutions in Yerevan, including Clinical Hospital No.3.

The nurse on duty at the hospital in question confirmed the report, noting that surgery price was raised starting November 1, as instructed by Health Ministry.

Meanwhile, Health Ministry spokesperson Anahit Aytayan stated that the Ministry set minimum and maximum thresholds for surgery prices based on financial situation of a patient.

“However, no explanation as to the reasons behind the price hike was given,” the daily said.
