According to the coordinator of ASAIF for the Kingdom of Belgium Musa Hasanov, the protest was caused by the fact that Nagorno Karabakh was presented as an independent state at Holland-3, BNN TV Dutch company’s TV channel. "In a tourism program, Channel Holland-3 presented Nagorno Karabakh as an independent state. In this connection, Azerbaijanis living in Europe held a protest outside the company," said Hasanov. The action gathered more participants than expected, Hasanov said. According to him, demonstrators came together to bring the “just voice” of Azerbaijan to the international community. The Karabakh War was fought from 1991 (when the Nagorno Karabakh Republic was proclaimed) to 1994 (when a ceasefire was sealed by Armenia, NKR and Azerbaijan).
