BAKU READY TO PROVIDE «AUTONOMY HIGHEST DEGREE» TO KARABAKH

PanARMENIAN.Net - Azeri President Ilham Aliyev considers the readiness of Azerbaijan to provide «highest degree of autonomy» to Nagorno Karabakh «a notable compromise» in the solution of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. He stated it when addressing the CoE summit in Warsaw, reported Mediamax news agency. In Aliyev's words, the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the authority of Azerbaijan over Nagorno Karabakh cannot be discussed as a compromise. «We demand the return of our territories and restoration of the territorial integrity of our republic,» the Azeri President stated. As noted by Ilham Aliyev, a CoE country cannot keep «occupying» the territory another CoE member in the 21-st century. At that the Azeri President called the dialogue between Armenia and Azerbaijan at the level of Foreign Ministers and Presidents efficient and called the OSCE, EU and the CoE to pay more attention to the problem of settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
