BAKU AGAIN DISCONTENT WITH PROPOSAL BY OSCE RAPPORTEUR ON KARABAKH

PanARMENIAN.Net - There are many nuances Azerbaijan does not agree with in the proposals made by OSCE rapporteur on Karabakh Goran Lennmarker, member of the Azeri delegation to PACE, deputy Eldar Ibrahimov, Trend news agency reports. In his words, Baku is discontent with the fact that the rapporteur failed to name Armenia as aggressor-state. "The Azerbaijani delegation to PACE pressed for adoption of a resolution recognizing Armenia as an aggressor and the self-declared regime of Nagorno Karabakh as separative. However the report shows that OSCE refrains to take up a stand identical with Azerbaijan's", E. Ibrahimov stressed. In his words, due to the same region the inclusion of the Karabakh issue in the agenda of the OSCE annual meeting has not been settled yet and depends on the activities of the OSCE Minsk Group. "The organization adheres to the opinion that the Karabakh settlement is dealt with by the OSCE Minsk Group but unfortunately the latter is not in a hurry to settle the problem", E. Ibrahimov said. He noted that the inclusion of the Karabakh issue in the agenda of the OSCE annual meeting will be clarified after the sitting of the OSCE Bureau to be held late June in Copenhagen.
